He has taken inspiration from his life experiences and poured it into this record. “Opus: I” is what Crisean calls his labor of love, growth and forgiveness. The album is Influenced by R&B, Pop, Soul and Baltimore Club music as well as artist such as Beyonce, Maxwell, Otis Redding, Al Green and Britney Spears to name a few.

Since the age of 8, he has been singing his heart out singing Disney songs around the house and putting on shows for family members. He also attempted, putting words to paper writing lyrics and coming up with topics that made no sense. With no formal training Crisean studied music at Baltimore City Community College. Being inspired by contemporary artists his whole life such as Beyonce, Britney Spears and Usher, BCCC is where he fell in love with Soul Music and legendary icons such as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Elvis Presley.

Crisean’s goals are to inspiration young LGBT people and people who have been oppressed and ostracized. “I want them to see a source of comfort and aspiration when they see me like I had with shows such as “Noah’s Arc”, “Queer as Folk” and “The L Word”. “I feel as gay people, we allow society to tell us what we can and cannot do. Hopefully, I can reach such heights that young and old gay people alike can say, "It's possible because Crisean did it." Say’s Crisean in a 2014 Huffington Post article. Hoping that not even the sky is the limit, Crisean is always coming up with new ways to broaden and expand his reach through entertainment.
